Signing in uses Google, which may set its own cookies as part of the authentication flow, governed by Google's own policies. When you click through to a paper on PubMed, a journal, or a DOI resolver, that third-party site sets its own cookies, which we do not control.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to refuse them. Blocking the strictly necessary sign-in cookie will prevent you from logging in. Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will ask for it before setting them.
