Purpose

This study examines the association of statins with the prevalence and severity of primary open-angle glaucoma in this ancestry group.

Methods

SUBJECTS: 5715 subjects of African ancestry (African American, African descent, or African Caribbean) ages 35 and older, recruited from ophthalmology clinics in the University of Pennsylvania Health System as part of the Primary Open-Angle African Ancestry Glaucoma Genetics (POAAGG) study.
