Purpose

Using the most recent US population projections data, we sought to update the estimated number of women who will undergo surgery for stress urinary incontinence (stress urinary incontinence) and pelvic organ prolapse (prolapse) in the United States from 2025 through 2060.

Methods

We used the 2017 National Population Projections from the US Census Bureau, which provides age-specific estimates on the number of women in the US from 2025 to 2060.
