Purpose

To determine whether intracranial pressure (intracranial pressure) monitoring is associated with decreased mortality among pediatric severe traumatic brain injury (traumatic brain injury) patients.

Methods

Younger than 18 years with diagnosis codes for traumatic brain injury and Glasgow Coma Scale (Glasgow Coma Scale) of less than or equal to 8 between 2010 and 2024 from centers submitting intracranial pressure monitor data.

n = 6636 admissions

Results
