Background

Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) are increasingly prescribed for type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity.

Purpose

This study aimed to evaluate the association between perioperative GLP-1RA use and outcomes following anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.

Methods

Eligible studies included human observational cohort studies.

Lower odds of failed spinal fusion at 6 months in GLP-1 drug users vs non-users
