Background

Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) carries high mortality and disability.

Purpose

This study investigated the association between prehospital transfer time (prehospital transfer time) and clinical outcomes.

Methods

Were categorized into a rapid transfer group (prehospital transfer time ≤8 h) and a delayed transfer group (prehospital transfer time >8 h).

n = 726 adult

Results

delayed transfer raised the odds of poor 6 month outcome over fivefold

Delayed transfer also significantly increased the risk of in-hospital complications, including brain herniation, hydrocephalus, ischemic stroke, and aneurysmal rebleeding.
