Purpose

Our goal was to establish a preclinical model that simulates prostate cancer (prostate cancer)-derived, but PSMA-negative (PSMA - ) bone metastasis, which can be visualized via single-photon emission computed tomography (single-photon emission computed tomography) and to compare 111 In- and 99m Tc-labeled bone-seeking agents, ideally by using this animal model.

Methods

Intraosseous (i.o.) inoculations of PC-3 cells (5 × 10 5 ) were conducted in 10-to-11-week-old male CB-17 SCID mice (n = 6).
