Background

Pediatric idiopathic intracranial hypertension (intracranial hypertension) is a rare but potentially vision-threatening disorder.

Purpose

This study aimed to evaluate the clinical characteristics, prognostic indicators, and outcomes in pediatric intracranial hypertension, with a specific focus on the effects of obesity and cerebrospinal fluid (cerebrospinal fluid) opening pressure.

Methods

Twenty-six children under 18 years of age, diagnosed according to the revised Friedman criteria, were retrospectively analyzed.

The mean age was 11.2 ± 3.4 years, and 53.8% of the patients were female.
