Purpose

This study aimed to identify predictors of postoperative recovery in chronic lateral ankle instability (chronic lateral ankle instability) and construct a risk-estimation nomogram for individualized risk assessment.

Methods

Between January 2021 and December 2023, 132 patients with chronic lateral ankle instability who underwent arthroscopic Broström repair with suture-tape augmentation were retrospectively included and classified into good-recovery [American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society) ankle-hindfoot score ≥75, n = 73] and poor-recovery groups (American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society <75, n = 59).
