Background

Percutaneous endoscopic interlaminar discectomy (percutaneous endoscopic interlaminar discectomy) is a common surgical technique for lumbar disc herniation (lumbar disc herniation), but the risk factors for adverse outcomes remain controversial.

Purpose

This study aims to develop and validate a predictive model based on machine learning algorithms to identify key clinical indicators influencing adverse outcomes after percutaneous endoscopic interlaminar discectomy.

Methods

This retrospective study included 414 lumbar disc herniation patients who underwent single-level percutaneous endoscopic interlaminar discectomy between October 2018 and June 2024.
