Results showed that postoperative heparin-binding protein, c-reactive protein, and albumin levels were independent factors associated with postoperative infection (p < 0.05).

The optimal cutoff values were 19.56 mg/L for c-reactive protein, 40.7 g/L for albumin, and 79.05 ng/mL for heparin-binding protein, with area under the curve (AUC) values of 0.684, 0.654, and 0.733, respectively.
