Purpose

The objective of this study was to study the clinical and histological profiles of eyelid tumors.

Methods

This is an observational prospective study.

n = 78 cases
Results

checking every tumor, about two-thirds turned out non-cancerous (benign)

The mean age of the patients was 38.9 years.

Out of 78 cases, 52.5% were male, while 47.5% were female.

The male: female ratio was 1.05:1.

The right-sided lesion was 54%.

There is a vast variety of lid tumors based on tissue origin. Histological examination is essential to ascertain the origin and nature of growth of the eyelid tumors.

Epidermal cysts were the most common benign lesions, and sebaceous carcinoma was the most common malignant tumor.
