Ocular inflammation, if undetected or untreated, can lead to sight loss.

Methods

This systematic review with a meta-analytic approach assessed how anterior segment optical coherence tomography detects, defines and quantifies these particles across published studies.

Although a correlation between SUN and anterior segment optical coherence tomography occurred, there was significant overlap between hyper-reflective particles detected by anterior segment optical coherence tomography and SUN grades.
