Purpose

To identify independent predictors of corneal biomechanical stability after deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty) by integrating anterior segment imaging indices with Ocular Response Analyzer (Ocular Response Analyzer) data.

Methods

This retrospective case-control study included 209 patients (209 eyes) with advanced-stage keratoconus who underwent deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty at HeBei Eye Hospital between January 2019 and December 2024.

n = 209 patients
Results

steeper max corneal curvature predicted worse post-surgery corneal stability

OR 3.40 (95% CI 3.40 to 3.40)
null = 13.403.40
CI excludes the null - significant
“
Conclusion · 1 of 2

Six independent predictors of post-deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty biomechanical stability were identified, spanning preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative factors.

Conclusion · 2 of 2

These findings may aid risk stratification, pending prospective validation.
