Purpose

To investigate the association between optical coherence tomography (optical coherence tomography) parameters of optic nerve head (optic nerve head) neural canal configuration and papillomacular bundle (papillomacular bundle) defects in myopic eyes with glaucoma.

Methods

Retrospective cross-sectional study.

n = 101 eyes

In this cohort, the mean axial length was 26.52 ± 1.10 mm (range, 24.30 to 29.25 mm), and papillomacular bundle defects were observed in 37 of 101 eyes (36.6%).

Conclusion

Greater exposed neural canal elongation in the myopic optic nerve head, most pronounced in the temporal and inferotemporal regions corresponding to the papillomacular bundle trajectory, was associated with papillomacular bundle defects in glaucoma.
