Purpose

The objective of this retrospective study was to systematically evaluate and compare the short and midterm outcomes of local anesthesia (local anesthesia) versus general anesthesia for non-emergency thoracic endovascular aortic repair in acute Type B aortic dissection (Type B aortic dissection).

Methods

Were prospectively followed for 5 years post-discharge to monitor long-term outcomes.

However, no significant differences were found in in-hospital mortality (2.0% vs 2.9%, p=0.751) and late mortality (1.4% vs 2.5%, p=0.724) during the 5-year follow-up.
