Background

Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (adolescent idiopathic scoliosis) is a common spinal deformity with significant health impacts.

Purpose

This study aimed to investigate the epidemiology of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis in a Chinese region and evaluate the efficacy of an integrated sports-medicine rehabilitation (integrated sports-medicine rehabilitation) strategy.

Methods

With adolescent idiopathic scoliosis were allocated to either a Conventional Rehabilitation (Conventional Rehabilitation) group or an integrated sports-medicine rehabilitation group based on their historical rehabilitation protocol.

Conclusion

This study delineates local epidemiological patterns of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and demonstrates that a structured, integrated sports-medicine rehabilitation strategy is more effective than Conventional Rehabilitation in improving spinal alignment and quality of life for conservatively managed patients.
