Background

While recent studies have shown improved outcomes with endovascular thrombectomy in posterior circulation acute ischemic stroke, data from Latin America and the Caribbean remain limited.

Purpose

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of endovascular thrombectomy (endovascular thrombectomy) in adults with posterior circulation acute ischemic stroke (posterior circulation acute ischemic stroke) in Latin America and the Caribbean (Latin America and the Caribbean).

Methods

Study quality was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale for observational studies.
