Background

Following tumor resection in non-primary motor areas, patients may suffer from paresis.

Methods

We retrospectively analysed the postoperative period in a cohort of 14 patients who underwent tumor resection in the supplementary motor area (supplementary motor area), suffered a postoperative paresis and underwent a single diagnostic nTMS session.

Following surgery for tumors in the supplementary motor area, our preliminary findings suggest an association between early nTMS (<5 days after surgery) and accelerated motor recovery from temporary paresis.
